CHOOSING PHOTOS FOR PORTRAIT

The quality of the drawing depends largely on the photograph used.

FOR THE BEST RESULTS

Take your time to choose your most beautiful photograph. Choose a sharp, good-quality, well-lit photo to see as much detail as possible.

Preferably choose a sharp photo , and taken up close .

Also, choose a three-quarter or side (profile) photo, rather than a front-facing photo.

The ideal for photographing a model is to place it 3/4 with natural side light (no flash).
You will thus obtain an interesting contrast which will enhance the facial features.
Do not hesitate to take several pictures and then select the one that will have the right composition,
light, attitude and expression.

For a group drawing, a composition is possible from several photos.
